District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

From Jill Stanek's blog:

".....as the March for Life was taking place, pro-life Arizona Congressman Trent Franks (pictured right) introduced the District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
The backdrop, according to the National Right to Life Committee:
Article I of the U.S. Constitution established that the national seat of government would be placed forever not within any state, but in a special Federal District – and that the Congress would “exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District.”
But what would the Framers of our Constitution say if they returned today – and learned, to their horror, that well-developed unborn babies are legally being put to death, in terrible pain, virtually within the shadow of the U.S. Capitol?

And they are.
Washington Surgi-Clinic, located just eight blocks from the White House, advertises it will abort babies up to 26 weeks old (6-1/2 months)  “us[ing] a method called dilatation and evacuation (D&E).”

If you don't know what D & E is, there is an illustration at Jill's blog to demonstrate.  It is not a photo or a video...just an illustration. Yet, it's gruesome and I can't wrap my head around the thought of a  person who thinks this is a practice that should be "protected"........know of quite a few, sadly.

I read an article the other day that was put out by the abortion proponents that reported a study that abortion was safer than childbirth.   Of course, now that I know Dr. Bernard Nathanson's past which he fully admitted to lying to change public opinion by manipulating the media, I can hold GREAT suspicion that the study and or the reporting of it is bogus.  Dr. Nathanson wanted abortion legislation passed back in the late 60's and he and other pro-aborts inflated numbers left and right to pull the wool over that generation.  Sadly it worked.  The question is...will articles like this succeed today?

I went on to read the comments and they were interesting.  A huge group of freedom-lovers (pro-lifers) came out to dismiss the study and to announce the emperor was naked.   Of course, then the pro-aborts showed up and revealed how little they knew about prenatal development, the history of abortion and of course, what really goes on in this country.   One poster mentioned that second trimester abortions can't happen because they are not allowed.   As if abortionists really follow a law anyway????

Well, this is a short post today.  It's time for me to skedaddle but I'll be back to post that piece put out by the abortion group.....(as someone pointed out, "coincidentally" the day after Sanctity of Life Sunday and the 39th "anniversary" of Roe vs. Wade).
