Inhuman: Undercover Investigation in Washington D.C.

Gosnell's exist all over the U.S.A.   They just haven't been caught yet.  Yes, many abortionists and their workers will escape our earthly courts but they will not escape the Lord's court for He is the holy and perfect judge.

2 + 2 = 5

It has been awhile since we have seen an investigative video by Lila Rose's Live Action group.  If you have not seen any of her past investigations, please check out the videos at Live Action (link at the bottom of the page).  Personally, I am "glad" to see them back.  Quotes are in order as I applaud their work in exposing the works of darkness but obviously, I am never glad about the darkness itself.

I found it interesting that the woman told Lila that there's no reversal once the laminaria (seaweed sticks) were inserted.  There are cases of women having a change of heart after the laminaria were placed and the women were definitely able to reverse the abortion and go on to have their babies.  Reversing Abortions  So they lie to the women when they say there is no turning back.  There have even been some cases of reversing the abortion pills.

The woman also tells her to "flush it" but then also told her that if it is alive, then it needs to go the the hospital.   So which is it?  Of course, to those at Planned Parenthood and this administration, it's perfectly acceptable to kill a baby once he or she is breathing on his or her own.  Just set the baby aside or in some cases, like Gosnell or Waddill, just "finish" the job by snipping the spinal cord with scissors or suffocate, strangle or drown the babies.  As we were told recently by Obama, quoting Bill Clinton, abortion should be "safe, legal and rare".  We know it's never safe and while those who bow to Molech call it "legal", it is not legal to God.  Additionally, we know it is not rare at all.

Recently, Obama addressed Planned Parenthood at their big event.  He backed out of being their keynote speaker due to the exposure by pro-lifers, but he went ahead and addressed them in a separate forum.  Meanwhile, Sarah Palin was addressing a fundraiser banquet for a Las Vegas crisis pregnancy center.  Her remarks were caught for the soundbites for the press.  They were there to get their photos, a few quotes and then to scram to the next drive-by event to distort.  She pointed out to them Gosnell's practices being in-line with Obama's votes against the Born Alive Protection Act.  Will they quote her?  I haven't looked it up yet to see.  I am not holding my breath.

Lila Rose has indicated this video is not a one-time episode.  That's what the press likes to say initially.  Oh, it's just an extreme case.  It's an aberration.  Then, Lila releases video after video from many locations all over the nation showing the pattern of damage.  Not only is it not rare....it's their modus operandi.   Tune in....there will be more of these videos in the coming days or weeks.

This Gosnell case is causing people to take note and discuss abortion.   People are finding out about the REAL industry and the myths are being dispelled.  The other day, I had a discussion with a woman who was under this myth.  She admitted openly that she was "pro-choice".  She brought up several hypothetical cases of what she thought were "good" reasons to abort.  I explained each one carefully to unravel the lies. By the way, none of these so-called reasons were unique.  These were the same tired, worn-out, manufactured slogans from the abortion faction that inflated and lied way back in the 1960's.

The final argument was the "safe" abortion myth.   No such thing.  I explained the blind operation, the dangers, the same old procedures, the horrific aftermath of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual damage.  I explained what the abortionists did, how they abused the women, how their so-called clinics were filthy, unregulated, uninspected as well as many staff members unlicensed and/or untrained.

I'll give this woman kudos.  She admitted to me that she was under a misconception that abortion could be "safe".  She said, "I just didn't know".   No, she wouldn't know.  WHY would she know?  How would she know?   I sure didn't know and my generation has had more technology for seeing prenatal development and obtaining information any second of the day.  I was lied to and so was she.  This woman is very close to my mother's age.  That whole generation was lied to and many from that generation are STILL believing the lies.   I know one woman who embraces her ignorance with the red-hot ardor of a teenybopper in tears over the appearance of Taylor Lautner.  Yes, I wish I were exaggerating here but I am not.

I have respect for those who see the truth and come forward to admit they have been hoodwinked.  It is no fun to realize one day that someone was successful in conning us. So welcome to the club of the no-longer-fooled.  Abortion is not safe, it should never have been legal in God's eyes and it is NOT rare.  This woman  who was told that it needed to be safe now believes that 2 + 2 = 4.

I have a lot of loved ones who still believe that 2 + 2 = 5.   And many more loved ones who believe that 2 + 2 = 5,842.   I love them all but I keep praying for them to come around and admit that they no longer believe that 2 + 2 = 5,842 or that 2 + 2 = 5.   It will be  a joyful day and a liberating day when they finally recognize 2 + 2 = 4 and proclaim it unapologetically and unabashedly and want to share that with others!

Romans 1:24-25
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Fifth's Time a Charm? Sixth? Seventh? Twentieth?

Gosnell situation?  Not rare. Not safe. Just evil.

Who is Pendergraft?

Ephesians 2:1-10
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  not of works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

# Who is Gosnell?

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!   I have been on the run lately (and no, not on the lam as my friends would joke).   Recently, I had the blessing of accompanying my dear husband on a cross-country trip.  He had to go to a conference and he wanted me to join him.   Sweeeet!  Surprisingly, there was a LOT of walking (no complaints as I desperately needed that) and I didn't really catch up on sleep.  However, the change of scenery was very refreshing and I was happy to complete my Bible study with minimal interruption.

I always find myself behind on reporting the latest news.  There are so many good websites out there that are daily, up-to-the minute news sources.  As any who have been following this blog for awhile, you have figured out this is not one of them!  If you are new to this blog, please refer to the websites below for the websites that are more timely in reporting these news stories.

What has been hanging over my head to report and believe me, I have very much wanted to blog on this sometime now, are the stories of Gosnell, the Gosnell coverup by the media and the other stories which are similar to Gosnell's mill's situation.  For fear of giving it short--shrift, it just hasn't taken place.

Do you really want to know the full account of Kermit Gosnell's activity?   It all started when Operation Rescue broke the story (to my knowledge, it wasn't CBS who reported it first) about the feds raiding the Gosnell mill for illegal prescription mill.  Their raid on his place led to the gruesome discovery of  disgusting scenes of squalor, aborted babies, jars of baby feet that seemed more like "trophies", unlicensed staff, and the realization that women were being mistreated in myriad ways.

They placed the Grand Jury report (all of 281 pages that I printed and put in a notebook) on the website.  It is still there on the Operation Rescue website so one only needs to visit there or to do a search engine on Gosnell's Grand Jury Report.   It IS graphic both with descriptions and photographs.   And as I frequently warn, please pray first before reading it, pray at different times while reading it and pray afterwards.   I learned my lesson on this when I was reading about a person who was involved in the occult.   You definitely want to pray for the protection of your heart, mind and soul in reading about Satan's work.    Gosnell Grand Jury Report   Many sidewalk counselors witness the ambulances showing up at abortions mills, indicating that the situation has become out-of-control.  They often report their findings but of course, these don't make the news but oftentimes do get posted on YouTube.   Mark Crutcher from Life Dynamics has a news website as well  http://www.prolifeamerica.com/   There are quite a few pro-life groups who do report these events.

I reported these stories on my Facebook page when they emerged on OR's website.  To be sure, no pro-"choicer" ever commented about being outraged at the butchery and maiming of these women and babies.  There was never any outrage or need to share with others that their "choices" produced heinous results.   No surprise there because we all know that there is no defending the murder of infants (in or out of the womb) nor of the maiming and killing of women from abortion.   They throw out the red herrings and drama routines of a Salem witch trial.

The trial has been going on for a few weeks now and of course, there has been pretty much silence from the main networks.  It's okay to head up the hour with news of Michael Jackson's death, Tiger Woods' adultery scandals, Michael Vick's mistreatment of animals and the pop tart-looking like a gun, but a Mason-like creature such as Gosnell has no place in journalism.

Then, last week, one of the many pro-life groups came forward and said, TWEET  this story of the silence of Gosnell.   Go on the Twitter accounts of CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS and Fox (although they had a little coverage but nowhere the level they should have had), and ask them why this trial is not front page news or top of the hour attention.   From what I was told, over 166,000 tweets rushed forth  in a 12 hour period.  As a result, some publications and news stations DID respond.  The cynical side of me, (is it cynical or just realistic?) expressed the concern that these news stations would just distort, twist, diminish and slant the news of Gosnell's  trial to the pro-abortion stance.  Extensive coverage of the different responses from the news outlets are being analyzed over at Jill Stanek's blog.  How do we handle mea culpas?

Regardless of twisting and slanting and excuses, (which at least NBC finally admitted they are a liberally-slanted channel), the fact that Kermit Gosnell's name and his barbaric acts are finally becoming public is a welcome change.  This will lead many of those people who have been largely ignorant of the subject to maybe ask a few questions (and remember I was one of those people!!).   How many more Gosnell's are out there?  Who is not being caught?   Babies actually survive abortions?  How can an abortion facility receive NO attention of regulations  (remember though, there's no cleaning up Auschwitz).  Who dropped the ball of letting venereal disease run rampant?  Who else should be receiving exposure?   What IS abortion?

Sidenote here: What is interesting to a lot of us pro-lifers are people like the liberal press saying, "Why the media blockout of the conservative press?  Where has everyone been on this story? {STILL ahead of you, CNN}  Even Planned Parenthood had the audacity (in their own tweet) to condemn Gosnell when their own lobbyist was defending post-birth infanticide.  If a baby survives an abortion, it's up to the doctor, the woman and her family to so choose NOT to give medical care to this baby and basically (my words here) "finish him/her off".   Planned Parenthood's condemnation of Gosnell is like Joseph Goebbels shaming Hitler for his actions. CBS questions lack of coverage  By the way, the White House has no comment on the killings of live babies at Gosnell's house of horrors.  Jill Stanek covers that as well.

We should all be praying for a flood of these questions (and for kind, loving, knowledgeable people to be on hand to answer them!).  We should all be praying to use this information to share with those who may not know.  We should all be looking at our own backyards and neighborhoods.  There's a LOT of stuff we should be doing and I'll be the first to admit,  that even I don't do as much as I should.   By the way, I am not a Twitter person.  That form of social networking is just totally foreign to me and seems like one more thing to eat up minutes of the day.  It's bad enough with Facebook sometimes but at least that has been curbed more.  Twitter is confusing to me.  Okay, I am old or maybe my mind is just not wired that way.  HOWEVER, on the way home from my trip, while waiting for my flight, my husband was kind and patient enough to navigate through Twitterland and help me with my (maybe first) tweet.

So if a highly technologically-challenged woman of mufflemmmmuffle years can get a tweet about Gosnell, can you share this too?  If anything you can print stories off and get them copied to distribute amongst your friends and family. I am still praying about another area of pro-life work but I won't go into that today.

So now you have heard of Gosnell if you hadn't before.  Have you heard of the actions taking place at Wilmington, Delaware?   There are very similar events taking place there as at Gosnell's in that they also do not care about women either.  They have reused tubing and tools, no gloves worn and no cleanup of drainage.  By the way, I posted this story earlier on a post to the Fox news group and they got rid of my post.  There was understandable outrage over a doctor who spread Hepatitis through used equipment for colonoscopy  procedures years ago but we can't have that same outrage for a Planned Parenthood who doesn't sterilize equipment or use new suction tubing? Wilmington, Delaware's Planned Parenthood

Gosnell, his coven of abortionist cohorts and Planned Parenthood deserve a LOT more light and disinfectant on this issue.  We don't just shed light on the creepy-crawlies under the rock, we get the means to make sure they don't come back!!!

Stand in the gap, folks.  Stand in the gap.

Ezekiel 22:29-31

The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger.  So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.  Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

Save the 1

This was posted on Facebook this morning by Rebecca Kiessling.  She gave permission for it to be shared on blogs so here it goes:

I knew this would happen!  I predicted that Republican party apologists would blame Richard Mourdoch and Todd Akin’s losses on the fact that they are 100% pro-life, instead of acknowledging that the losses were due to how poorly they expressed their positions.  And sure enough, the day after the election, Ann Coulter did just that.  In her article entitled, “Don’t Blame Romney,” she spent half of the article blaming these two Senate candidates for daring to defend the life of every preborn child. Her exact words were, “because these two idiots decided to come out against abortion in the case of rape and incest,” calling them “pro-life badasses,” “purist grandstanders,” with “insane positions,” who were “showing off.”  Unfortunately, Coulter has a huge following and will surely influence many uninformed readers with her misstatement of the facts and her flawed reasoning.  I have great concern that these Senate losses will have a chilling effect on pro-life legislators and voters.  Hence, a swift and thorough response is in order.

Ann Coulter, referenced “all the hard work intelligent pro-lifers . . . in the trenches” and what they have accomplished, as if she was one of them.  Well, I’ve been in the trenches since 1995, and I must point out that Ann Coulter has been missing in action.  I’ve never once seen her in here, so I can’t comprehend how she could possibly include herself in this group.  I’m a hard-working intelligent pro-life activist, and I’m 100% pro-life – for good reason.  I was not only conceived in rape, but nearly aborted at two back-alley abortionists.  The only reason I wasn’t killed through a brutal abortion is because I was legally protected.  My heroes are those pro-life legislators and activists who were hard-working and intelligent enough to understand that mine was a life worth saving.

Coulter went on to erroneously write that Mourdoch and Akin lost because they had “abortion positions that less than 1 percent of the nation agrees with.”  Her figure is way off, and she has totally ignored the fact that their abortion position adheres to the Republican party platform!  All she’s doing is further alienating the base.  Mitt Romney alienated the base – not only by making the rape exception, but also by his own gaffes, such as when he said, “There’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda."  Pro-life leaders were left to mop up that mess, from which he never recovered.  Many pro-lifers who were already skeptical either voted third-party or stayed home.  Three million Republicans stayed home, compared to 2008.  http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/11/republican-turnout-in-2012-election-less-than-2008-and-2004/ Making matters worse, Romney ran ads in battleground states suggesting that it’s extreme to be 100% pro-life.  How could anyone deny that such ads hurt Senate candidates like Akin in Missouri, Mourdoch in Indiana, and Smith in Pennsylvania, as well as congressional candidates like Koster in Washington and Bachmann in Minnesota?  And let’s not forget how the party leadership threw these candidates under the bus – something Democrats do not do to their own.

Additionally, the 1% figure Coulter threw out there is just not even close to being true.  Polls in the last few years have consistently shown that the number is between 20 to 24% of Americans who believe abortion should be illegal in cases of rape.  The other 31%+ of Americans who are pro-life with exceptions are 99% of the way there, and only need to be nudged another 1%.  My experience shows that this is easy to achieve – if you try, just as how my story changed the heart of Gov. Rick Perry during his presidential campaign.  And that’s the key.  Who has really tried?  I know that the number of 100% pro-life Americans would be much higher if the pro-life movement as a whole actually went after this ground.  Instead, Coulter is right in pointing out where the effort has been focused – on things like parental notification laws and efforts to ban partial birth abortion.  The lives of children conceived in rape are often minimized with the standard dismissive language of:  “Well, it’s only 1%.”  Why continue to minimize?  Why not stand up and really defend our lives?  We need to try to gain ground on this issue, by educating the public, by equipping candidates and legislators on how to most effectively respond to the rape question, by making ads with children conceived in rape available for anyone who wishes to utilize them, and by removing rape exceptions from the law, beginning with the Hyde Amendment.

My response to people like Ann Coulter is – WE ARE NOT CANNON FODDER!  You do not get to put us out on the front lines and then take a giant step back.  The “burning building” analogy fails because you have no interest in working to save all.  You do not get to call yourself pro-life by shutting off the water, sending the fire trucks home, while you stand there watching the building burn down with the 1 inside of it.  If you want to see who the real extremist is, Ann Coulter, come on Fox News with me, look me in the eyes and tell me how you think my birthmother should have been able to abort me.  Tell me that my life was not worthy of protection and that I don’t deserve to be living, and I’ll show you who is the one who is extreme.

Some strategists will suggest that you have to accept rape exceptions in order to get candidates elected and legislation passed.  This is untrue – just look at Right to Life of Michigan as the model.  They have been a standard-bearer in this cause and have never accepted the rape exception.  You can’t get their PAC endorsement if you make the rape exception, and they will not put their stamp of approval on legislation if it has an exception.  When they didn’t have the votes to pass the ban on Medicaid funding of abortion without a rape exception, they worked on the exception-legislators to convince them to change their positions.  When they still didn’t have the votes, RLM targeted them in their primaries, got them voted out, then passed the ban without exceptions.  That’s how you get it done!

Now Right to Life of Michigan has mentored many other state NRLC affiliates to go to this model of being a standard-bearer, maintaining the principle that all are worthy of protection.  Since the change on their Board of Directors nearly 12 years ago, Georgia Right to Life has passed more pro-life legislation then they’d ever passed before.  They were told at the time by the Republican party leaders that they were dead, irrelevant, and called extremists.  Now, every constitutionally-elected official – Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, are all 100% pro-life with no exceptions.  The lobbyist for Georgia Right to Life, Dan Becker, wrote a book about it, “Personhood:  A Pragmatic Guide to Prolife Victory in the 21st Century and the Return to First Principles in Politics.” www.tkspublications.com  Tennessee Right to Life and Alaska Right to Life are other examples of state affiliates who successfully transitioned from the compromising model of accepting the rape exception to being a standard-bearer with no exceptions.

We must not discriminate!  Children conceived in rape are surely the most outcast members of our society, being unfairly demonized and portrayed as a “horrible reminder of the rape,” “the rapist’s baby,” “tainting the gene pool,” and even “demon spawn.”  This not only affects the pre-born, but also those born under such circumstances.  Can you imagine if a law was introduced with an exception in cases of bi-racial rape?  I could hear the rationale, “Well, it’s only 1% of 1%,” and “the child would look more like the rapist and would surely be more of a reminder of the rape” – an argument which I’ve actually heard before.  There would be a national outcry for such discrimination!  Civil rights leaders would be outraged and demand that the exception not only be removed, but that the legislator who introduced it must immediately step down.  And yet, half of pro-lifers think nothing of discriminating against children conceived in rape, and it’s wrong!

If we are going to gain ground in this effort to protect unborn children, we must maintain a standard, and we must make more of an effort to educate.  I believe that the best people to do so are those of us who have been on the front-lines as pro-life speakers who were conceived in rape, who have been spending our entire adult lives defending our right to life.  We’ve heard every question, every challenge, every argument.  Why not utilize us?  Just to name a few, there is Ryan Bomberger, Susan Jaramillo, and Pam Stenzel.  On my website, there are dozens of stories of others conceived in rape and who became pregnant by rape.  We’ve publicly shared our stories for a reason – please use them!  www.rebeccakiessling.com/Othersconceivedinrape.html  I’m partnering with Personhood Education to form Save The 1 – an organization which will implement the strategies necessary to defend the 1%, as well as the 99%.  Here are three of our new ads which will be launched soon.  www.youtube.com/savethe1child

Back to Ann Coulter’s article – she wrote that “No law is ever going to require a woman to bear the child of her rapist.”  I don’t believe that.  Laws DID protect children like me and these protections can and should be restored.  She went on to add: “Yes, it's every bit as much a life as an unborn child that is not the product of rape.”  Ann, your words speak volumes as to what you really believe.  A preborn child is not an “it.”  He or she is a life, a human being, a person, a son or a daughter.  They have a gender.  This is not a mere philosophical or political exercise, but real people’s lives are at stake.  When I represented the mother in Michigan’s “frozen embryo” case, the fertility doctors testified at deposition that from one cell, they are literally male and female, and ascertainably so!  Just as it says in Genesis, “male and female, He created them.”  Using words of gender serve to demonstrate the humanity of these children.

Lastly, Ann Coulter goes on to suggest being 100% pro-life is not wise because too much of a good thing can harm you – like too much iron, or too much sugar in your coffee.  I couldn’t help but think of the words of Mother Teresa:  “How can you say there are too many children?  That’s like saying there are too many flowers.”  No offense Ann, but I’d rather heed the words of a godly woman like Mother Teresa than you.

Give Me Your Eyes, Lord!

Hello Dea r Readers!

I haven't been on much lately as sinus headaches will often make me pretty lackluster in online communication.  The days I am feeling better are days I am catching up from those days I am feeling like a wet dishcloth.

Today I went to a forum about sex trafficking.  It was held at a local church and many of my friends from church accompanied me.  It is a subject that has become more than a blip on the radar screen of late.  While I have not faced this issue with anyone I know very close to me, it is something that has become more prominent in a wider circle.

A friend of mine introduced me to a ministry and a woman who wrote some books on the subject.   The book From Brothel to Congress was written by Linda Smith, now a former congresswoman.  She also wrote Renting Lacey and that was a book that grabbed me and forced me to really look closely at my city surroundings in a new way.   It's an extremely powerful book and while the characters are fictional, they are  composites of the many real victims of sex trafficking.

I would love to say that after those two books I immediately plunged into action.  I didn't really take any action per se but my view changed considerably about the whole trade. It has never left my mind since.  Suffice to say, we hear those stories of girls getting picked up at bus stops and we hear about girls getting lured at shopping malls by promises of modeling/acting careers but we stop short of thinking of it as a major issue.  What?  A few girls over time?  Truly it can't be a huge deal, right?

A few years ago, we had a detective come to our crisis pregnancy center to talk to us about sex trafficking.  It makes sense that those involved in the sex trade might need a pregnancy test and we are definitely a place that offers that.  We were told what to look for in a girl who might be a victim.  She would have tattoos...a "brand" of her "daddy" or "boyfriend"/pimp.   She would have callouses on her feet from the hours of walking on high heels.  We were to be watchful of any abrasions/bruises on her hairline/scalp or limbs.   I took notes and those are a few things I remember.

What really stood out though by then (having read the book Renting Lacey) was that these girls were victims first and foremost.  We have been given a definite picture of the prostitute by Hollywood.  The Julia Roberts' "I am here by choice and I love my job until something better comes along, ohhhh look, Richard Gere is here to whisk me away now.  On the movie screen, she is usually an adult and of course, many of the times this line of work is portrayed as  "glamorous".  Certainly we have been told by numerous messages that the pimp is cool.  After all, the term "pimpin'" is one that is used ("pimp my ride") to desensitize a nation.  Think about the tv shows or commercials that may use this even very subtly.   One thing I heard today was that out of the 407 cases of prostitution here, none of them had anything glamorous or cool take place in those cases. It's disgusting and sordid.  Not a surprise to me but tell that to many youths at large who have been given an MTV upbringing.

It's a criminal activity of violence and control.  It's the ownership of another human being and turning them into a commodity to be used and re-used.   For the longest time, the prostitutes have been treated like criminals.  They have received jail time and fines but that has not been a deterrent of course.  Yet, many years ago, there has been a turnaround in viewing the girls as victims, not the criminals.  It is now the goal for many in the justice system to go after the pimp and the customer ("the john") as well. There are many who want these girls to be put in a safe house instead of the juvenile halls or the general jail population.

I really can't simplify it here in such a short amount of time.  It's very complex and like the subject of abortion, has many sub-subjects branching like tentacles.   Today, we were told how the pimps target the girls, how they reach them and what to look for in signs of victimization.  We were told a lot of methods of how the girls (and sometimes boys too) were broken down and kept in line.  We were told about legislation that we need to support to help chip away at these seemingly-impregnable walls.  There are  strategies to fight this on many fronts.  Again, like the subject of abortion, it's a multi-prong approach.

A few weeks ago, I went to a leadership conference and visited one of the many tables set up by many groups.  This one particular group reached out to girls who were sex-trafficked.  It sounded like they did many things like organizing rescues, helping the girls detox, helping the girls get established in the community after their escape and of course, most importantly, sharing the Gospel message.  These girls are damaged in many ways....physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  There can be restoration and redemption only by the healing and cleansing blood of Jesus Christ.  There can only be victory through knowing Him.   He can restore fully but we know that it's a LONG journey of healing.   There are consequences and marks left behind.  Just like the scars left by the pimps' torture sessons, there are scars left mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

What has left an indelible mark on ME about this subject is how a girl can be lured into this in the first place.  When the detective came to talk to us that time at the cpc, he described a very horrific situation (and much of this was reiterated today).  Just picture a girl who is at the tender age of 13 or so.  She is a teenager so many things factor into this.  She may be rebellious just because she is trying to just separate herself as an individual.  Depending on her family background in discipline and dynamics, she expresses this rebellion in varying degrees.  She may run away, be truant or just want to dress differently.  She doesn't have the education or maturity yet.  Her hormones have her act in a volatile manner and we know her as the "drama queen".   She may or may not have a lot of supervision depending on whether she has one or two parents and/or how involved they are in her life.   Depending on the parents' ways of parenting, they may be very permissive or very authoritative.  She may feel like she is not loved and may not have a lot of close friends.  She may be facing abuse from her own family members whether it's a parent or an uncle, etc.  She wants escape from whatever is the real or perceived suffering she is facing.

Enter in the nice boy!  He treats her with gentleness and kindness.  He is loving and always has the nicest most perfect thing to say.  He gives her gifts.   The family may see him as a welcomed member of their family.  After all, their daughter is so happy now.  She is not alone and he is SO NICE! He is so clean-cut and polite and he doesn't "try anything".   This can go on for awhile to gain the trust of the girl and any family members.  He can lie about a lot of things and in this era of busyness....who would really have time to followup in talking to his parents?   Again, given the dynamics of her family, a lot can be ignored or not checked-out fully.

After awhile, many things can happen.  The trust is gained, the stakes are higher.  Expensive gifts and a well-played plan has given way to more expectations.  By this time, a sexual relationship is in place with more emotional attachment.  Don't attack her boyfriend as she will defend him to the hilt.  Then he asks her to do something for him.  Maybe it's servicing a friend at a party, or a few friends.  He may get her drunk and filmed for blackmail purposes.  Maybe he says to her one day, "I want you to go walk the streets."   She may refuse but by this time he now has more influence, power and control.   And he pulls out the threat cards.  "I know where your grandma lives".   "Your whole family will be killed".   Don't try anything or Fluffy is gone as well.  In total fear of her family being harmed, she acquiesces.  Sometimes she disappears and sometimes she is controlled in her own surroundings.

The process of breaking her down is all about torture and manipulation.  There's a blend of the honeymoon treatment and then total abuse in the measures that elicit the exact results.  It's the most chilling in that while she may very much want escape, she knows she could be hurt or killed (as well as her family).   She still has feelings for her "boyfriend" or her "daddy".   The frightening thing is that even if her "daddy" goes to jail, she may wait for him and go back to him after he is no longer incarcerated.  She may not trust law enforcement when they tell her they can give her protection from her pimp.  She has been brainwashed to not trust the police anyway.   The girls are told by their pimps that they would never be loved by anyone else because they are "dirty whores".   So when you see these situations of the girls being "rescued" from the pimps, it's a very long journey.  It may be impossible to get them to ever leave or testify against their boyfriend pimp.

This was what I have been told by detectives and by reading the accounts of some cases.   I am not an expert on this and only seek understanding of this new area of the voiceless and defenseless.  It's all connected to the area of pro-life though.  It's about greed, power and control.  Corruption is involved.  The criminals may be protected by those who should know better.  These individuals who were elected should be servants and protect all lives.   Sometimes there is no accountability in the areas of trafficking and abortion industries.  There are a lot of similarities.

Today I took a moment to talk to one of the people from law enforcement there.  We talked about how Planned Parenthood doesn't comply with mandatory reporting laws when it comes to minors and sexual abuse.  She pointed out that many of the girls actually do have their babies as they are 1) someone to love and 2) the pimps allow that baby to be used as a pawn and a connection to stay.  While this is true, I have to say that when Planned Parenthood actually does send a girl back to her abuser stepfather/father/brotheer/stepbrother/soccer coach/kidnapper (you fill whoever the abuser may be), she realizes that no one is going to help her or believe her.  She is now a prime victim for sex trafficking.  She is devalued and shamed.  She'll seek love and protection from a guy who will claim that he can give her those very things.

One woman gave her testimony this morning.  Her youngest daughter got caught in the trafficking trap.  She was told, in the past, by one audience member that he was in complete disbelief about this method of trafficking.  She was at first offended but then told him, "I was at first offended by what you just said but I can tell you that 2-3 years ago, I was in your shoes.  I never would have believed this could happen either."  This is real and it's a much larger problem than anyone can imagine.   In the future, I will place some websites that address this subject but I encourage you all to embark on research on your own.  This was a good day and I am so glad I went to the forum.  I pray for this to make an impact in this city.

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
