Pro-lifers, Do Drop In!

Welcome!  Tervetulua!  Bienvenidos!

A couple of years ago, I set up this blog and added the handy-dandy map.  I call it the Welcome map!  It is always so pleasing to see who visits this blog and I wonder if the visitors are pro-life citizens from that country or maybe they are U.S. citizens living there.

Please feel free to introduce yourselves and share anything about your country (or state if you reside in the U.S.A) and the pro-life work or presence in those regions.   When we have our annual fundraiser banquet for the crisis pregnancy center,  first-time attenders are usually taken back to see so many pro-life people in one place.  It is encouraging to them to know that they are not alone in their views.  So if you come from a place where you feel like you are the only one with pro-life views, please share.  If you are a person who would like to encourage others by sharing the exciting things happening in your region, also please share.

Hauska tutustua and mucho gusto!   Pleased to meet you!

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?  For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.  1 Corinthians 10:16-17

The Apology

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  Romans 8:1

Only 5 Minutes

That is all I have to spare right now....5 minutes.   It is my day to minister to girls and women who are facing the situation of an unplanned pregnancy.  I mention this for a few reasons.  First, please pray for all of us there at the pregnancy resource center.  Secondly,  let me encourage you to take the next step of action to promote life.  That may be in the form of volunteering at a pregnancy resource center or supporting one with your prayers, material donations or monetary means.  Maybe you just need to share life-affirming messages in your circle of influence, whether that is via social media or just old-fashioned conversation over coffee.

Another reason I mention the minutes is that I have to apologize that I do not have more time to the attention deserved for this day of note.  It is a deep desire to share more about this day than posting a picture.  It is worth taking the 5 minutes I do have to do this little bit on the blog, but the big scheme is that I am glad for the opportunity to spend the rest of the day ministering to ones seeking hope and help.   Only with God in those rooms, can I do this.  Off I go!

Billboards Save Lives!

" pregnancy resource center in Cincinnati reported that Protecting Black Life's Roll Call campaign helped save two babies from abortion last week. The mothers had seen the billboards, opening the door for heartfelt, honest conversation about the risks of abortion. 'I pray and hope you can keep up the campaign," the staff member wrote. 'Women in our community deserve to know these truths.'"

I am on the run today but wanted to put these quotes with this picture of the billboard.  The billboards are no longer up but I pray that there will be another run of them in the future.  It really is sad and amazing that with all the technology at our fingertips in 2014, that people are not aware of basic prenatal development AND the ignorance of deaths and numerous injuries from abortion.  The thing is it takes curiosity and I am not sure we have a lot of that in a large supply with certain-aged groups.

“Today it is possible for almost any patient to be brought through pregnancy alive, unless she suffers from. a fatal disease such as cancer or leukemia, and if so, abortion would be unlikely to prolong, much less save.. the life of the mother.” -Alan Guttmacher, former Planned Parenthood president, 1987.
“People do not realize that there are thousands of serious physical complications from abortion every year in this country.”–Dr. Bernard Nathanson, OB Gyn. – former American abortionist and abortion-rights advocate.
“The impact of abortion on the body of a woman who chooses abortion is great and always negative.
I can think of no benefit of a social abortion on a [woman’s] body.” – Daniel J. Martin, M.D.
“In medical practice, there are few surgical procedures given so little attention and so underrated in its potential hazards as abortion. It is a commonly held view that complications are inevitable.” – Warren Hern, Boulder, CO abortionist.
