ORLANDO WOMENS' CENTER IS FINISHED!!!!!

HALLELUJAH!

Word just broke that Pendergraft's abortion mill is closing down for GOOD!

This news was shared by Kelly Clinger who has performed as a backup singer for Britney Spears.  Kelly had two abortions at the Pendergraft abortion mill before she became a Christian.  She is a very dedicated and outspoken pro-life warrior.  She has spent time sidewalk counseling at the very place where she had aborted her babies.  Her testimony has been shared at this blog: Kelly Clinger's Painful Testimony
I am sitting here weeping - attorneys arrived at Orlando Women's Center today to announce it is CLOSING FOR GOOD!!! They are seizing all of Pendergraft's assets. I just can't believe it. I have prayed for this day for so long.

Now we are going to buy it, bulldoze it, and build a memorial garden for all of the babies that have been killed there, including my 2. PRAISE GOD.

"Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

From John Barros, an extremely passionate and dedicated sidewalk counselor, who has spent numerous hours rain or shine outside of this abortion mill...
He shares:
By the grace of God, the Christians who minister day in and day out at Orlando Women's Clinic -- one of the worst killing places in the entire U.S. -- are going to need to find themselves a new ministry spot. Praise the Lord!
John Barros
This Is One Of The Most Glorious Days I Have Lived... The Attorneys for the young lady that these guys destroyed stopped by to let me know Orlando Womens' Center is Finished!!!!! They have been searching for and collecting assets for the last year and it is Amazing what they have found. They wanted dates etc. when Pendergraft has been here, how many babies a week they have been killing etc. All the court cases that OWC can have are over... The Lawyers are in Court in Orlando right now finalizing this Nightmare... They asked me if I wanted to go inside and I told them I don't think I could... They are even going to take all the Cabinets furniture etc. that Pendergraft has bought lately.... Please Pray that this finalization is complete this afternoon and that the last days would be quick.... God Bless all of you that have been serving here at OWC and all of you who have been praying
 ************
Check out the short film called "22 Weeks" about the event that happened at this mill.  I won't go into it here right now but I will say this comes with a warning.  It's a tough film to see and if you are post-abortive and have difficulty with graphic scenes, it's important to know that this film may be especially hard for you.
We hear that Pendergraft has had 5 locations of abortion mills so we are assuming the lawyers are taking care of those places as well.  Let's pray that is so.  This guy has to be finished and never be around another woman or baby ever again in his whole life.
WE REJOICE when the wicked are no longer allowed to practice their evil works!!!!!!

2 + 2 = 5

It has been awhile since we have seen an investigative video by Lila Rose's Live Action group.  If you have not seen any of her past investigations, please check out the videos at Live Action (link at the bottom of the page).  Personally, I am "glad" to see them back.  Quotes are in order as I applaud their work in exposing the works of darkness but obviously, I am never glad about the darkness itself.

I found it interesting that the woman told Lila that there's no reversal once the laminaria (seaweed sticks) were inserted.  There are cases of women having a change of heart after the laminaria were placed and the women were definitely able to reverse the abortion and go on to have their babies.  Reversing Abortions  So they lie to the women when they say there is no turning back.  There have even been some cases of reversing the abortion pills.

The woman also tells her to "flush it" but then also told her that if it is alive, then it needs to go the the hospital.   So which is it?  Of course, to those at Planned Parenthood and this administration, it's perfectly acceptable to kill a baby once he or she is breathing on his or her own.  Just set the baby aside or in some cases, like Gosnell or Waddill, just "finish" the job by snipping the spinal cord with scissors or suffocate, strangle or drown the babies.  As we were told recently by Obama, quoting Bill Clinton, abortion should be "safe, legal and rare".  We know it's never safe and while those who bow to Molech call it "legal", it is not legal to God.  Additionally, we know it is not rare at all.

Recently, Obama addressed Planned Parenthood at their big event.  He backed out of being their keynote speaker due to the exposure by pro-lifers, but he went ahead and addressed them in a separate forum.  Meanwhile, Sarah Palin was addressing a fundraiser banquet for a Las Vegas crisis pregnancy center.  Her remarks were caught for the soundbites for the press.  They were there to get their photos, a few quotes and then to scram to the next drive-by event to distort.  She pointed out to them Gosnell's practices being in-line with Obama's votes against the Born Alive Protection Act.  Will they quote her?  I haven't looked it up yet to see.  I am not holding my breath.

Lila Rose has indicated this video is not a one-time episode.  That's what the press likes to say initially.  Oh, it's just an extreme case.  It's an aberration.  Then, Lila releases video after video from many locations all over the nation showing the pattern of damage.  Not only is it not rare....it's their modus operandi.   Tune in....there will be more of these videos in the coming days or weeks.

This Gosnell case is causing people to take note and discuss abortion.   People are finding out about the REAL industry and the myths are being dispelled.  The other day, I had a discussion with a woman who was under this myth.  She admitted openly that she was "pro-choice".  She brought up several hypothetical cases of what she thought were "good" reasons to abort.  I explained each one carefully to unravel the lies. By the way, none of these so-called reasons were unique.  These were the same tired, worn-out, manufactured slogans from the abortion faction that inflated and lied way back in the 1960's.

The final argument was the "safe" abortion myth.   No such thing.  I explained the blind operation, the dangers, the same old procedures, the horrific aftermath of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual damage.  I explained what the abortionists did, how they abused the women, how their so-called clinics were filthy, unregulated, uninspected as well as many staff members unlicensed and/or untrained.

I'll give this woman kudos.  She admitted to me that she was under a misconception that abortion could be "safe".  She said, "I just didn't know".   No, she wouldn't know.  WHY would she know?  How would she know?   I sure didn't know and my generation has had more technology for seeing prenatal development and obtaining information any second of the day.  I was lied to and so was she.  This woman is very close to my mother's age.  That whole generation was lied to and many from that generation are STILL believing the lies.   I know one woman who embraces her ignorance with the red-hot ardor of a teenybopper in tears over the appearance of Taylor Lautner.  Yes, I wish I were exaggerating here but I am not.

I have respect for those who see the truth and come forward to admit they have been hoodwinked.  It is no fun to realize one day that someone was successful in conning us. So welcome to the club of the no-longer-fooled.  Abortion is not safe, it should never have been legal in God's eyes and it is NOT rare.  This woman  who was told that it needed to be safe now believes that 2 + 2 = 4.

I have a lot of loved ones who still believe that 2 + 2 = 5.   And many more loved ones who believe that 2 + 2 = 5,842.   I love them all but I keep praying for them to come around and admit that they no longer believe that 2 + 2 = 5,842 or that 2 + 2 = 5.   It will be  a joyful day and a liberating day when they finally recognize 2 + 2 = 4 and proclaim it unapologetically and unabashedly and want to share that with others!

Romans 1:24-25
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

STOP CARHART

LeRoy Carhart's license needs to be revoked permanently and the facility needs to be shut down permanently.
Please sign this and share this with others for them to sign as well.  Read more about this case in detail at this following link:
Stop the Killing

He has zero regard for human life (except his own hide).
He has zero regard for animals (The Humane Society removed animals from his farm due to his total neglect of them)
He dumps the babies he aborts in the trash.
Very sensitive information about the women he performed abortions on was found in the trash instead of being properly shredded and disposed.
Has had no regulation, oversight or accountability for his million+ dollar business of abortion.  The state of Maryland has given him free reign (just like the state of Pennsylvania gave free reign for millionaire Kermit Gosnell to commit heinous acts in filth and squalor).

I KNOW the people who will sign this petition.   They have kind hearts, want accountability and do not want Jennifer Morbelli and Christin Gilbert's (and their babies') deaths to not be in vain.  They care about the community at large and see what a menace this abortionist is.   I KNOW those who love the "least of these" will sign.

NOW:

Non-pro-lifers consider this:

You say you love your "privacy".  How do you love the idea of sensitive information being made public via trash dump (where we know dumpsters are gone through by those who just want stuff or those who seek identity theft)?

You say you love your earth.   How do you love the idea of this abortionist dumping illegally? He dumped little human beings, placental tissue and dangerous medical items to be found by anyone.

You say you love places to have regulations.  You want your vet's office, nail salons and restaurants to abide  by the local sanitary and safety laws.  You want them to comply to keep you safe and to enjoy the cleanliness of their establishments.  How do you love that these abortions centers are not clean, not accountable and not at all safe for any person (no matter what size they are)?

You say you love animals.  You cry at all the animal abuse commercials.  How do you feel that this abortionist had no regard for the animals and dogs on his farm that they actually had to be removed?  Carhart's business number for his horse show wares is the same as his business number for killing babies (and women).   How do you feel about animals being neglected?

Even if you are NOT pro-life, you should sign this petition to stop Carhart from dumping humans and medical waste, for the total disregard and neglect of animals,  and releasing personal information on women who come to his center.

Champions for Life

Hello Sports Fans for Life!  Wait....is that we are sports fans forever or is that we are fans of saving babies but like sports also?  YES).

Okay, I admit that I am not much of an athlete nor a huge follower of sports (certainly not an athletic.....encourager).   I can't even boast being a good armchair athlete.  In fact, this particular Superbowl Sunday found me at my local crisis pregnancy center assisting in peer counselor training.   Reports of the game were announced and those of you who know me know who I sort of leaned towards for the hopeful winner.   Not gonna' start that here....wouldn't be prudent.  Not gonna' do it.  Although, maybe I should put this in a poll question?

It's kind of late to be posting this in relation to Superbowl Sunday but 1) it has been SUPER busy this past week (plus I am begging for some sympathy fighting a cold that just came upon me in the past 24 hours) and 2)  I couldn't find this particular clip that I had in mind to post on Sunday.  The first 50 attempts did not bode well.  The 51st entry DID strike paydirt.

By now, we are all acquainted with Tim Tebow's story and the commercial that was aired a while back during the Superbowl.  This clip posted at the top of this blog came to me through another pro-life warrior just about that time.

To me, a real man isn't the one who exhibits power, sports a string of letters behind his name in the academic world nor has gained the  bank account as big as Warren Buffett's.  First of all, a real man is sold out for Jesus of the Holy Bible unabashedly and unashamedly.....and because of that, he recognizes that the "least of these" are to be protected and cherished.  A man can don some pads, cleats and a helmet but the real mark is a man who will defend any person who is in need of protection and aid.  I won't go any further than that but that's a real man to me.  By the way, my husband is number 1 in that (and there was a time he also played football too but I didn't know him then).

While I am at it, let me post some other videos that I still appreciate.  Maybe some of the visitors from other parts of the world have not seen these.   Enjoy.

This third "Imagine Spot"  I have a bone to pick with since it says at 5 weeks the heart will beat.   Yes, while it does beat at 5 weeks, it's important to stress that it started beating at around 3 weeks.  I do like accuracy.  The first one was rejected by the television stations for the Superbowl.

Okay, sports fans, it's late and I am praying for His healing, a good night's sleep and some very effective cold medications.  There are baby booties to crochet tomorrow and clients that will need ministering....this cold is NOT good timing (and really..it's my fault as I have been staying up way too late and not eating right).

Anyone know of any pro-life football players on these two Superbowl teams from 2013?  Yes, I know of ONE (maybe 2),  but if you know of any others, I would love to hear about them.

I found this website that might interest some: Life Athletes which was started by New York Giants Chris Godfrey.

Job 33:4

And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

MISSISSIPPI ABORTION-FREE--CONFETTI TIME

PRAISE JESUS!!!!!

Well, I am happy to share the awesome news that the Department of Health has shut down the ONE remaining abortion mill in the state of Mississippi in the good ole' USA.   Many abortion mills have shut down in the past year but this one is momentous in that there are ZERO abortion mills existing in this state.  There are even other states that have one remaining abortion chamber and we pray for those to fall, domino-style. Last Abortion Mill in Mississippi .    Abortion mill owners complain about SAFETY measures like widening doorways for gurney access, unbroken stairs, working equipment.  I don't know one liberal in my circle who is going to be happy about an abortion mill closure that shut down for heinous conditions.  Not one.  They will all lament "a bunch of old white men on Capitol Hill is telling me what to do with my body".  Never mind that these mills actually kill women with cases of sepsis, perforated organs, and anesthesia overdoses.  Here's the news flash though.....you can't make abortion SAFE.  It's like saying, "Let's make sure the ovens at Auschwitz operate hotter and cleaner and have some pretty flowers planted out in front of it".   76 page deficiency report at abortion mill

Mark Crutcher, of Life Dynamics, pointed out that when he started out with pro-life ministry in 1992, there were over 2,100 abortion mills in the U.S.   Now in 2013, there are over 600 and he added that most of those are in bad shape.  Many different factors will contribute to their closures.   Many people think that if Roe vs. Wade (and I would think Doe vs. Bolton would have to be as well), were overturned, then we would have 100% abortions illegal.   It would just go back for the individual states to decide for themselves to keep the murder of the unborn legal or illegal.   States such as New York and California which are pretty much without any limits on abortion, don't report their numbers, and could be considered the abortion capitols of the nation (east and west coasts respectively) would keep abortion going.  States like Alabama  and Georgia would move swiftly to make it illegal.

It is quite amazing though, that after 40 years since Roe vs. Wade being forced on the American people by fiat..we will see that it's possible to have a federal decree as toothless and impotent.  It is a victory (but already we see Satan trying to undo this....I'll address this in future blog).

Awareness is what catches attention first.  My exposure to the world of abortion was non-existent.  I never thought about it, PERIOD.  It never entered my little isolated bubble-world.  Then the bubble popped one day.  I learned what it was....this practice exists?  How could anyone DO THAT?   The natural plan that God had intended was all of  sudden askew.   Of course, my knowledge of post-abortive men and women was non-existent too.   It took awhile but I am thankful today for the knowledge.  Like William Wilberforce once said, (paraphrasing here), You can choose to look away, but now you can't say you never knew".

Once I got searching though, I was exposed to many kinds of pro-life ministries and levels of activism.  Some are out there on the frontlines at abortion mills trying to desperately reach the women and girls going into abortion mills (willingly and unwillingly).  They are truly the soldiers willing to lay down their lives, willing to sacrifice in various ways to make sure those who go in (or those who work there) are exposed to the truth.

Others take a different approach.  Some are in the rooms of crisis pregnancy centers sharing this truth in this very private and personal setting....with free ultrasounds and material services readily shared.  Some people feel they are not cut out for either setting but they want the truth out and they march, put bumper stickers on their cars, wear pro-life shirts, go to fundraisers and maybe they share with family, friends and neighbors.  Maybe they just like sharing news on their social networks.   If anything, the most important activism is PRAYER no matter what method of activism is advanced.   Many different groups are out there with many different ideologies....going to college campuses, churches, fairs, walks and marches, public speaking engagements and reaching out to those who were in the abortion businesses themselves.   You see the links at the bottom (and I just realized I need to update AGAIN).  Satan loves to divide and I will have to say that I was very saddened by the in-fighting between groups over which method is the best.

It's like coming to Christ.  So many found and accepted Christ in so many different ways.  The BEST way if fire and brimstone preaching (says one), and then another one says, "No, make a friend and help them find Christ". With others, it's street evangelizing...with some it's helping a homeless ministry....gentle words, truthful words.....many of us could share widely divergent stories of how we came to Christ...quickly, slowly, some feeling fear of Hell or some with feelings of relief and with "liquid love".   One could criticize each method.   I could be criticized with just my blog entry here.  I just say...pray for growth for that one is no longer ignorant.  They may start out slow and mature at a very slow rate....but their roots are strong and deep.  As long as they are going forward....I am thankful.

It took me awhile and I am still praying for advancement myself.  I recognize I don't do nearly as much as I want to do and I am painfully aware of what obstacles I let stand in my way.  I pray for God to keep working on me to keep maturing not just in the ministry of pro-life service but most importantly, my walk with Him.

I am thankful for all the fellow Christians and fellow pro-life warriors both in my immediate circle and the ones I know distantly thanks to social networks, blogs and quick acquaintances.  It's true, I haven't been in Mississippi this week getting attacked with Mace like Cal Zastrow's group.   It's true, I haven't been working in Mississippi for Personhood or in the halls of government getting this mill shut down.  The only part I have in this is sharing on my blog and social networks.   The only part I have is praying for its permanent shutdown.  The only thing I can really enjoy is letting you know that it happened and reminding you that with God, all things are possible.   We can celebrate what God has done and how He has used His servants to stop the killing in Mississippi.  Now....what state is next?   South Dakota?  North Dakota?  Montana?

Start praying and pray unceasingly!   Will God use YOU to shut down a mill?  Even if that is not something you might partake in someday, share the news of Mississippi with someone TODAY.

P.S.  It's going to take a few weeks to actually shutdown this mill.  It's not effective today but we can pray that no more babies will be killed in the upcoming weeks.   PRAY for those mommies and babies to be protected even now!

2 Chronicles 20:15 b "Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s."

2 Chronicles 20:5-12
Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, and said: “O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever? And they dwell in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying, ‘If disaster comes upon us—sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.’ 10 And now, here are the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir—whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them— 11 here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. 12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

BUT OUR EYES ARE UPON YOU!!!

"SAFE" and "LEGAL"

The pro-abortion folks like to spin a toxic yarn when they say they want abortion to be "legal, safe and rare".  I remember when I first began reading about abortion that this phrase came up.   Of course, nothing can be further from the TRUTH.  Quite oppositely, this crowd wants abortion to be legal for all 9 months for any reason with absolutely zero safeguards at all.   After Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast, a Virginia abortion mill boasted they were performing abortions that day.  Hey, the abortion show must go on.....gotta' get those thousands of dollars collected!  http://liveactionnews.org/virginia-abortion-clinic-brags-of-performing-abortions-after-being-flooded-by-hurricane-sandy/

Plus, the Muskegon, Michigan abortion mill has been shut down.  The fire marshall came to inspect after a reported break-in took place.  He saw the conditions and immediately shut it down.  Any animal lovers out there would not have taken their precious pup to this place. http://www.operationrescue.org/index.php?s=muskegon

Certain groups of people I know just won't be affected by this.  There are days I just sit aghast at the coldness who can just look at all this and shrug it off.  Spiritually dead about the things that matter and shrill about things that don't matter at all.  No, I am not surprised.  The world is dark.  It is a fallen place even with people who claim to be Christians.  Just let me sit in my comfy pew.  Let me glaze over my eyes at the message or sad-to-say...in some churches....don't challenge me from the pulpit. I like my watered-down, expired milk.

I once was accused of "preaching to the choir".  Again, I was aghast at this mostly because it came from someone who claimed to be a Christian and a pro-lifer.   Here's the saddest thing....I turned around and expected to see a choir.  There was no choir!  Not even a weak one with one good singing voice.  It was completely nonexistent.

So, for strong choirmembers....you won't mind me sharing the new website.  Dedicated members are committed to the ministry and look forward to the proclamation of the Gospel through song.  While they are already familiar with what will be preached from the pulpit, they don't get bored or downtrodden by it.  They are not resentful to hear the Gospel from the pulpit again!!!  Hmmm....now that's interesting. Maybe the ones who snap angrily  "You are preaching to the choir. Enough already!" aren't hearing the Good News in the first place?  No wonder they are grouchy, anxious and ill-tempered.

So here it is, you all with strong lungs and a hearty constitution with thick skins and a conviction for TRUTH!!!   YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!

Please, investigate it and spread it far and wide amongst those who need to know this and who will benefit from it.  There are some breaking developments in the new year as far as abortion mills failing and shutting down.   There were 24 abortion mills that shut down in 2012.  This will be covered in another blog entry.

www.safeandlegal.com

As for my absence, I do apologize.  I realize that many events have taken place such as the atrocious events at Newtown, CT to name one.  What took place shook so many of us to the core.  Prayers and His word were the immediate responses and the appropriate antidotes to Satan's poison..   I set out to write but stopped many times.  I knew MY passion and frustration would take over.  Some have said to me "Oh that's what we love about you."   However, this, coupled with the month of December (which always is like a runaway locomotive without fail), just kept me from expressing myself..   Those 20 babies and the teachers who responded to protect them are recognized here and now.   Tears still come to my eyes at the thought of them.  The memories of my own babies at that age are still very fresh.   It doesn't matter that these children were 6 or 7 years old or whether they are 6 or 7 months old or even gestationally 6 or 7 weeks.  They are all precious in His eyes.  I just pray for the plans of our Lord who takes what Satan means for evil and turns it around for His purpose.  We may never know or see any of that here on Earth.  Maybe in Heaven, we'll see clearly why and how it all came together to glorify our Lord.

Jeremiah 31:14-16

14 I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance,
and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.”
15 Thus says the Lord:
“A voice was heard in Ramah,
Lamentation and bitter weeping,
Rachel weeping for her children,
Refusing to be comforted for her children,
Because they are no more.”
16 Thus says the Lord:
“Refrain your voice from weeping,
And your eyes from tears;
For your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord,
And they shall come back from the land of the enemy.

On a different note, and a happier note, I can say with joy that lives are still being saved at the local crisis preganncy centers.  THERE is where life is celebrated and encouraged.  I am also happy to say that when I talk there about pro-life subjects....no one angrily snaps "YOU ARE PREACHING TO THE CHOIR!  ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!"    Yeah, I am chuckling kind of......it's a relief that I have that sanctuary and a place where we are mobilized to do His work.  Yet, sad too that a person who claims to be pro-life and Christian would respond with anger and bitterness at such a basic principle.  Yeah, I keep praying....for ME not to succumb to discouragement or bitterness of my own at the fakery of it all.

One day a while back I was in a conversation with a pro-abortion person (online).  While the conversation ended on a good note, I was saddened that this person decided to shut down to facts and truth.  Again, I am never surprised by this.  They aren't saved and so they are closed and blinded to truth.  Yet, it weighs on a Christian when a  person is not going to Heaven unless they make that 180  (by the way, have you seen 180 yet?  Why not?).   I had to make a phone call to a church for a project.  It turned out to be such a great afternoon.  I was totally ministered by this woman who was all excited about being involved with our crisis pregnancy center.  I joked that if we ever got together, we would probably have a 2 hour lunch.  Well, that's the goal someday when things quiet down (if they ever do).  God si so good.  He knew the timing and the message I needed to hear at that moment.  I was greatly encouraged and it filled me to the brim.

The subject of abortion is so heartbreaking already.  It's more than the brain and moral sensibilities can take.  That anyone would actually kill a baby is horrifying enough but to continue to run into people over and over that defend it, vote for it, march for it and pay for it......it's an understatement that it's a depressing cause.   However, God does give us other beautiful souls/saints/warriors to co-labor with  and sometimes those ties are thicker than blood.  I am thankful for all the blessings He gives me.  Even those blessings of adversarial people although I may not always receive them as blessings sometimes!

On this note, I will end and wish all a very Blessed New Year......every year His return gets closer than before.  Just think, Jesus will come back but also no more Planned Parenthood, no more abortion, no more death, lies, stealing, disunity, illnesses and all the nasty stuff we have been seeing or experiencing!  Jesus has already won the VICTORY.  Go, saints!! That is not a football reference but a call to go out and spread the Gospel!!! :D
P.S.  Because it has been so long since my last blog entry, I am not proofreading immediately so forgive my many grammatical and punctuation, and typographical errors, pretty please.

There's a 180 Tsunami Wave Coming to Abortion-ville!

Actually, it's "180" AND another ministry called "And Then There Were None".

As you have seen on my blog in the past, the "180" documentary has been posted for some time now.   It's very eye-opening for many who never really throught through the whole pro-life issue.   I was one of those kinds of people at one time only I didn't have "180" to point it out to me.   Had I seen "180" when I was a lot younger, it would have made a huge impact on my life.  Pretty sure of it.

There have been reports that "180" is making some waves on high school and college campuses.  Hundreds of thousands of copies have been distributed in many areas of the country.   It has actually saved some lives of babies (and when you think about it, maybe this film prevented some deaths of mothers as well.  We know that women still die from abortion).

Many different things are going on in the pro-life movement right now.   I would recommend checking out some pro-life news websites like www.jillstanek.com

There has been a lawsuit filed claiming Planned Parenthood has committed fraud in the amount of $5.5 billion    Now, I am not very sanguine that this will take them down.  They get pass after pass and I seriously doubt Cecile Richards will ever see any prison cell, although some of her employees will probably be seen as expendable.
Still, this SHOULD raise some eyebrows but my concern is people are far too jaded to care that citizen's taxes are going to fraud.  Actually, I have come to the conclusion that most people are far too jaded to care about Planned Parenthood's willingness to cover up sexual abuse, rape, incest, sex trafficking, statutory rape, domestic violence, willingness to lie about basic prenatal development, their targeting of minorities and their goals to promote promiscuity, especially among youth (the younger the better in their eyes).

It is truly amazing to see the blank, glazed looks of people who are told about these things and there's just no reaction.  Sometimes I do get a reaction, but mostly from youths.  The people who are stone-faced and uncaring are the ones, the pro-aborts,  mostly from my mom's generation.  It's like they look at you and say, "but the coathanger icon is what we cling to....don't mess this up for us!  We refuse to register any thought contrary to our rosy picture of abortion and our heroine Margaret Sanger.  I refuse to look at your evidence."  You know you have faced the most hardened heart when the mention of a baby being killed doesn't cause a person to even flinch in the slightest.  Sadly, I know and have talked to people who are just like this.

The other ministry that I am happy to share with those of you who have not heard yet is "And Then There Were None".   Abby Johnson is a former Planned Parenthood director having been in the industry for 8 years.   She left after a series of events took place at the abortion facility that forever changed her mind about abortion.  By the way, she just gave birth to her baby boy so congratulations, Johnson Family!

Abby has started the ministry to help abortion workers leave the industry.  Oftentimes, there are workers who find themselves wanting to leave but fear they won't find a new job to support their families or they fear  they will be ostracized for their past involvement which goes to show you that abortion is not looked favorably by most medical professionals. Abortionists are seen as the bottom feeders in the medical field.  Even many doctors who claim a  "pro-choice" belief don't really want to do abortions themselves.

The exciting thing about "And Then There Were None" is the possibility that abortion facilities could have great difficulty keeping their doors open if there is a mass departure of their work force.  Abortion workers see crimes being committed, fraud perpetrated and of course, the bodies of mutilated babies day in and day out.  They see the gross negligence, the callous treatment of the abortionists and their staff and the suffering victims of abortion (including the babies who may even live for a short time after the abortion).   The ministry can help the abortion worker safely report criminal activity of their former bosses, reach out to people who know where they have been, and gain some confidence in leaving by getting assistance in finding a new jobs and possible temporary financial help.    http://www.attwn.org/

There have been many people who have left the abortion industry.   Some of them have become very outspoken pro-life warriors and have fought in many arenas for life.   Those are the "dangerous ones" to the abortion industry.   They were frontline and are not afraid to tell about the horrors (not exaggerated by any means) of the inside workings.  There is credibility and they deliver an impact.  I have been most impressed with Carol Everett's account.  Her book Blood Money: Getting Rich Off a Woman's Right to Choose has been the most riveting inside look.  Carol is pretty much a straight-from-the-hip shooter and she tells of her conversion from a highly ambitious abortion facility owner to a sold-out-for-Jesus Christian and pro-life warrior.  If you haven't read it, buy it and read it!   Carol could have become hardened and jaded but Christ gave her humility and a love to serve.  She is a formidable force to be reckoned with and she does it with a healthy dose of humor too.  In addition, Carol has a post-abortion ministry called The Heidi Group.

http://www.squidoo.com/Carol-Everett   Much of her story is at this website but I still recommend the book.

So you see, the heart change of people will cause a major tide change for the protection of the defenseless.  Whether they see "180" or whether they leave the abortion industry, or whether they read a book......all these will cause people to rethink their ideas on abortion.  Really, that's great but none of this matters if they really don't have a personal relationship with Christ.   I am happy to hear about people change their views to pro-life.  There are pro-life atheists, pro-life secular groups and pro-life Buddhists, etc.  Dr. Bernard Nathanson (a former abortionist who died from cancer last year) became pro-life before he became a believer.  I was pro-life before I became saved.

It one was of many precipitating factors in becoming saved in my case.  Many things contributed in my journey to being  born again.   God kept putting different truths in my path until I couldn't ignore Him any longer (He has the most amazing patience and perfect timing).  I sat in churches a long time in a complacent state of worldliness.  God grabbed hold of me through various ways and people.  This isn't my full testimony of how He became my Lord and Savior but my emphasis is that one can be pro-life and on a path to Hell.  I know I deserved Hell as I was not a good person.  I desperately wanted assurance that I was a good enough person for Heaven and I desperately wanted to know what made my place in Heaven sure.  There was no peace, just religious activity with a nagging question...."how much activity is enough for God to see that I deserve to be in Heaven?"

None is the answer.  And on my very best day of behavior I am still but a filthy rag.  I can't do anything for myself, I can't save myself, I can't ever be good enough for Heaven ever.  I can try to save babies all day long (possibly quite successfully) and that won't get me into Heaven.  So you see, if you are out there and you have become pro-life...I am very happy that you are fighting for the defenseless.  I am thrilled that you and I share that belief that no human should be subjected to dismemberment or suffocation or even lack of sustenance based on "wantedness" or "convenience".   I hope that you recognize that it's not enough to be pro-life.  Why are we pro-life? It is because we recognize that that little baby is a human, unique and individual and precious to Him AND made in HIS image.   He created Life and His Son gave HIS life so that we might have eternal life.  Every life He brought forth on this earth is precious and beautiful to Him (if you aren't aware of it.....you need to realize that you are precious and beautiful to Him).

I often tell my clients that the Lord opens the womb and closes the womb.   No baby, child or person you know exists on earth without His knowledge or permission.  He knows each person at a molecular level and their souls intimately.  Add up how many people have ever lived from Adam to present time and then think about all the people about to be born.  Then add the fact that He knows of all the activity going on at a molecular level in the trees,, animals,  oceans, and in the galaxies from the beginning of time to the present.  There are still saplings that will sprout and puppies to be born.....and He knows all about those things at the deepest level as well.  Even with all this, He knows and loves you and you are a precious gem to Him.  And He has all the time in the world to listen to you....He's outside of time.  He's omnipotent and omniscient.

This kind of knowledge about God (in His own words) drew me to Him.   His love drew me to Him.  Truth drew me to Him.  I remembered one day that I realized with horror that I was not saved.  I remedied that shortly after. There was still a lot I didn't understand but He was still so patient and good to me.  To this day, I am in awe that He still wants me to be with Him.  :)    I am a pretty stiff-necked person and no, I am not proud of that.  It's not a trait to be embraced.  Chastening is a daily (hourly or secondly) activity that goes on in my day.  Thanks to Proverbs, I can put this in perspective. One thing I am working on is a spiritual inventory for a bible study I am doing.  Okay..."working" is a loose term as I haven't actually started the spiritual inventory yet.....God will deal with me, to be certain.  Maybe this blog will help me get a move-on?  :D

The one thing that bothers me is that I don't have a single moment of time where I remember turning my own "180".  It's not easy growing older!  It seemed like one day I was for abortion and then the next day I was not.  I did go through a metamorphosis that many people experience.  I was into exceptions first and then one by by one, those exceptions disappeared.  Once I realized the horrors of abortion, I went through a very hard stage of disgust for the woman who chose abortion.  In my mind, she was only one kind of woman....pretty hard-hearted and calculating.   Over time, I learned that there was not just one kind of woman who underwent abortions. You mean there are COERCED abortions?   Then, my understanding of how men were involved came into view.  Then the effect of abortion on grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, future siblings and friends became prominent.  This journey of learning has led me to recognize God's grace, forgiveness, His chastening, His justice, His power and His compassion.

So you see, I became pro-life  through mysterious means.  However, in short, it was God who was behind that.  God started working on me with all those things I mentioned above.  The more I learned and the more truth He set before me, the more I was humbled and the more my heart grew and wisdom increased.  I have to admit, when I became pro-life, I wasn't seeking Him actively.  I was still very enamored by the world's pleasures and empty promises.  There was more confusion and doubt than any active search for peace and rest in Him.  I was having fun for the most part.  I loved Oprah, Rosie, and Hollywood movies. My apathy for world events slowly crumbled and God set many things in motion.

God showed me that I was being lied to through many channels.  It set forth a huge domino effect of indignation that I had been duped but also a thirst for more answers. That's a good place to be though---malleability!   It boiled down to one question.  Do I believe that the Bible IS the SOLE authority or not?   That was the turning point for me.  After that, everything changed.  I had to leave a church based on the fact that they did not really believe in the Bible.   They elevated man's understanding above God's.   I had to dump my presuppositions that had been inculcated in me for over 30 years.   It caused a chain reaction of losing friends, losing a church and an increase in shallow conversations with family members.

But I wouldn't go back to that life before He was Lord and Savior of my life for anything.  I was bought, paid for and sanctified.  His Word does divide but I have an amazing amount of peace.  The wheat and chaff will be separated.  The sheep and goats will be separated.  I just can't be a Chaffy Goat anymore! :D

My life isn't a "180" movie and I am not an insider to the abortion industry.  This blog isn't going to cause a tsunami-level change to the pro-life movement (DISCLAIMER), but maybe there's a pro-lifer out there who can relate to some of the things shared here.  Are you still trying to figure things out in where you stand with your pro-life beliefs?  Are you still in the world enjoying the trappings?   It may just boil down to just a few vital questions.  Is Jesus your Savior and LORD of your WHOLE life?    Is God's Word sole authority or not?   Are you bowing down to the "created" or your CREATOR?   Who is your god....you......or Your Father in Heaven who thinks of you as worthy for His Son to pay your penalty?

Romans 1:16-25
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Will They Be Shut Down?

Here we go again!  Only this time the abortion facilities are located in the state of Arizona where it is illegal to abort based on race or gender.

It is my belief that if you see one or two termites or one or two mice, there's most likely an infestation of more hidden in the recesses of the walls, attics and basements.  I would not be surprised if this is standard practice in many places, including the states where it is expressly forbidden.

In my pro-life journey, I have definitely learned abortionists don't respect or follow laws.  If one were to really scrutinize the facilities and shut them down based on their refusal to adhere to laws, they would all disappear.   By the way, a facility in Columbus, Ohio has been shut down.   I praise God that enough people in the right departments actually followed through on violations and reports of botched abortions taking place.

After the Kermit Gosnell debacle, maybe there are more state officials getting nervous that their own states might be highlighted for such gross oversights, callous regard and incompetence.  We know there are more out there...they just haven't been caught yet.  Good job, Ohio (and Alabama).  Keep up the scrutinizing and keep shutting them down.   Abortion mills are a public menace and a total blight on our society.

An "Isolated" Incident?

Not once when I was carrying my babies did the medical personnel call either one "the sex of the pregnancy".   I was asked for both babies if I wanted to know the sex of my baby.  NOT did I want to know the "sex of the pregnancy".   This is typical of the abortion industry though, to dehumanize the human in the womb.  Terms like "clumps of cells" and "blobs of tissue" are used.   By the way, we are ALL clumps of cells and blobs of tissue if we really want to get technical.  I never stopped being either of those terms above just because my location changed, my development is different, my dependency status (my mother doesn't provide my nutritional or shelter needs) is lessened and my size is greater than when I was in my mother's womb.

However, it's the modus operandi to make sure any woman or girl who steps into an abortion facility to persuade her that she is not carrying a baby but only "potential life" or nothing that resembles a human being whatsover.   As one girl was told at an Appleton, WI Planned Parenthood center, her baby "had no arms, no legs, no head and no brain".....which at 8 weeks, they clearly do.

Last night, I was watching "The Five" and of course, Bob Beckel had to repeat the lies of Planned Parenthood that only 3% of their services are abortion.  First of all, those numbers are more like about 11%. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/03/15/the-numbers-planned-parenthood-doesnt-want-you-to-know/?pr=1   Either they are lying or they can't do basic math with the numbers they provide from their own records. They have some fuzzy numbers anyway when it comes to their claim of healthcare for low-income women as Bryan Kemper has highlighted here:  http://bryankemper.com/2011/04/13/the-fate-of-women-if-there-were-no-planned-parenthoods-in-ga-planned-parenthoods-fuzzy-math/

Then,  Beckel went on to say that this first video is only an isolated incident.  Anyone who knows Lila Rose's work knows by now that there is NEVER just one video.   Since she knows the Planned Parenthood M.O. inside and out, she's always prepared to answer that "it's a hoax" and "it's an isolated incident" with more videos to prove them wrong.

There are sure to be more around the corner.  I am always curious in what areas she visits when she does these undercover operations.  She canvasses different regions which helps the credibility even more for those so-called "isolated" episodes.

Another undercover operation that preceded Lila Rose's work was Mark Crutcher's (of Life Dynamics), Child Predators.  His team called all the Planned Parenthood centers in the curiosity of finding out how they would answer a statutory rape situation.   Over 91% of the workers coached the girl to get around the laws of their state, instead of mandatorily reporting as they are required by law.   All the audios of the tapes can be heard at this link.

Many from the abortion industry could try very hard to say that these stings of Crutcher's and Rose's are just set-ups.  However, Crutcher and Rose both just expose what is really going on in these centers.  We have to remember that there are real, documented court cases of real victims of sexual abuse.   There are girls out there who have been forced into abortions by their stepfathers, fathers, older brothers, abductors, and their teachers/coaches.   Instead of reporting to the police like they are required to do, Planned Parenthood sent the girls back to their abusers to repeat the abuse.

No, this isn't an isolated event....it's an infestation!

October Baby

March 23, 2012  is the premier for the pro-life film "October Baby".

My husband and I were fortunate to be able to attend a sneak preview a little while back.  OF COURSE, I am not going to give any spoilers.  I have included a trailer for you all!
http://www.octoberbabymovie.net/

John Schneider (I am dating myself when I mention his early fame in "Dukes of Hazzard") portrays the father and Jasmine Guy (once again, I am dating myself when I admit that  we watched "A Different World" and "The Cosby Show" when it was brand-new) has a cameo as the nurse.   She delivers a very powerful scene which is my favorite part of the movie.  Again, no spoilers but the movie is sensitively- written and directed given the subject matter.  It's obvious I don't write movie reviews for a living but one theme that was addressed in "October Baby" is forgiveness.  This was a healing film for one of the actors and I do not have doubt that it will offer that to many of the audience  members as well.

I have seen quite a few pro-life films now.  It's a subject for another day when you think of some movies that weren't meant to have a pro-life message originally.  Most of the films I see are documentaries.  "Blood Money", "Eggsploitation", "Maafa 21" and even "180" all are documentaries.   One dvd I highly recommend is "The Truth Behind Abortion" by Pastor Will Ford via Ex-Ministries.   It's a very different kind of video as it's extremely gripping explanation of the spiritual aspect of  abortion.   It opened my eyes to a whole different level...abortion really is in the spiritual realm.

Of the fictional fare,  "Bella" is a story that highlights the beauty of adoption and family.  I have not seen the movie "Tilly" yet but am going to very soon.  It is fictional as well (by Frank Peretti).   One more I'll mention and that is "22 Weeks".   This short film is based on a true story of a mother who had chosen abortion but was shocked to see her baby survive.  Immediately remorseful for her mistake of choosing abortion, the mother attempts to get help from the abortion staff, who ignores her.  She ends up calling her friend via cellphone who calls authorities.  Actual 911 calls can be heard on YouTube of this tragic event taking place.

Except for the fictional and beautiful "Bella", not one movie comes to mind that addresses this particular subject in "October Baby".    If successful in distribution, this movie could make a huge impact.   It could compel a lot of people to research a subject they could never imagine existed in their wildest dreams.  They could also be made aware of the thousands of pregnancy resource centers which need prayer, volunteer support, encouragement, donations and monetary support.

Of course, no surprise to anyone who knows me or has read this blog long enough......this could lead to even further disapproval of Planned Parenthood.  No, this would not disappoint me in the least.   Pro-choicers do shudder....they are desperate these days thanks to the work of Lila Rose and Live Action.   Whatever comes of this movie, I am sure God will use it for His purposes.  Is it a perfect movie?  No.  I could pick it apart and I wish I could tweak it here and there but really, with the rare exceptions, very few movies escape my desire to fix them.  One of my favorite movies is "Despicable Me".

As I mentioned this movie "October Baby" could have a wonderful impact for  pregnancy resource centers.   Why not support a local pregnancy resource center now  (if you don't already)???   What can they use or accept?   What can you do?   ALL pregnancy resource centers (aka "crisis pregnancy centers") need prayer.   The spiritual attack is steady and unceasing (remember that "Truth Behind Abortion" documentary several paragraphs above?).

So many centers face different challenges in various forms.   So please always pray for the staff, the volunteers, their building situation (such as repairs or limited space, security), their finances, their donations (diapers, formula, baby food, maternity clothes, baby clothes, baby furniture, office supplies) and of course, just daily operations!!!  Pray for protection as there is an attack to close them down by way of legal means.  Also, pray for their future plans and visions.

Make sure you pray for those clients who come in scared, defiant to God's word, confused, uneducated, and indoctrinated by the world's lies.  Many of these girls and women have never been very well-treated and this may be the first place that they experience unconditional love.  Pray for those mommies and the daddies too.  I can't emphasize prayer enough when it comes to pregnancy resource centers.  They start their days in prayer and their operating hours are bathed in it.  They covet your prayers!

All you have to do is look up your area's pregnancy centers (look up Abortion Alternatives or crisis pregnancy centers)  I use  http://www.goodsearch.com/, also you can look up Care Net https://www.care-net.org/ for their affiliates and also for their hotline number  1-800-395-HELP.   When I found the local pregnancy center in my town, my link came from Feminists for Life (Patricia Heaton is their spokeswoman).  http://www.feministsforlife.org/

On March 22, 2012, my computer froze up while typing up this blog entry.  I  gave up on it and ended up watching "Tilly" while my family was out.   I highly recommend "Tilly".   It's only 41 minutes long (it's a VHS that I got free with my order from Heritage House 76).   Included with the story is a discussion panel interview as well as an interview with the author.  I haven't completed the whole video but the actual production of "Tilly" is very beautiful.  It is different from "October Baby" in a slight different subject matter.   To point it out here would give too much away.  See how careful I am???

Recently my husband and I attended the fundraiser banquet for our local pregnancy resource center.   My husband counted that this was our 8th year to attend!  Every year, we have had a wonderful keynote speaker and have been able to invite several people from our church to see what our prc is doing.   It's an eye-opener for many to see so many pro-lifers in one room.  Well, I would say most attendees are very pro-life.  The majority are there for the reason of supporting the center.

Some, may be there for the first time invited as guests who have no idea what the center does and may come out of curiosity.  Some may be there because it's good to be there for election purposes.  Some may be there because they were dragged there.   No matter if the motive isn't in allegiance to helping the event, the main thing is they heard, maybe for the first time, a message of life.  They see the pro-life community banded together.  Like God's message of the Gospel, it plants seeds deep and at a later time, will mature.   I AM praying for one in particular to really embrace the pro-life message.

Our keynote speaker this year was Governor Mike Huckabee.   Again, I won't give spoilers in case he comes to YOUR event.  He told a particularly powerful account of taking his (then) 11-year old daughter to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial in Israel.   I understood his concern and vacillation to expose someone that young to something so horrific.  I have faced a similar concern in the past in raising my children.  We don't want our children too insulated so that they are only into themselves.  However, we are saddened when they realize how much evil, and the depth of it, is in the world.  It's only my opinion, but I think he handled that very well.

The former governor of Arkansas shared, with humor, his background in careers and callings.   He spent time in advertising but then became a minister.  It was the pro-life issues that pressed upon him to become involved in politics.   Many politicians only become "pro-life" when it's politically expedient.  Congressman Tom Tancredo once said, "I trust those conversions when they happen on the road to Damascus and not on the road to Des Moines".    Amen to THAT!

Please, please, go see "October Baby" if it's in your area!!!   If it's not, then maybe go find a showing in another city.  :)   If that is not feasible, then just wait for it on dvd.   Share the link with others you know who may be able to to go see it.  Urge family, friends and acquaintances!   Pray it stays in the theaters a long time and that word-of-mouth keeps this movie spreading.

Our country is turning the tide for pro-life in the first time since 1996.   We are now seeing a change in attitude and it's with the youth now.  They are picking up the baton and running with it.  Most are recognizing that there IS a baby in the womb (thanks to technology) and it's not a "blob of cells".  They ARE recognizing that most of their generation is missing.  They do see that their mothers and grandmothers who bought into the lie of "choice" were affected emotionally and mentally.   They see the truth and as a result are willing to do something about it.  Thanks to Lila Rose   http://www.liveaction.org/
and many youths getting involved in pro-life groups and clubs that engage high schools and universities, the issue of abortion is forefront.  Hearts are changing and minds are searching for more information.

I'll just add this.  One of the people who saw "October Baby" with us went home afterwards and spent  a couple of hours on the internet researching.    That is just the kind of thing that the abortion industry does not want!  Multiply that with how many people will view this film (who may be new to pro-life or even this specific pro-life subject) and then pray for that curiosity and impact.  The abortion industry thrives on ignorance and deception.  This film will knock down some walls of ignorance and deception.

Psalm 73:21-23
Thus my heart was grieved, And I was vexed in my mind.  I was so foolish ignorant; I was like a beast before You.

Nevertheless,  I am continually with You;  You hold me by my right hand.

Have You Seen It?

“While making the video I was amazed at how quickly people did a complete 180 after this connection was pointed out to them in a particularly effective way. They changed from being adamantly pro-abortion to being pro-life in a matter of seconds.”

Mom and Dad Chose Joy!

Jeremiah 32:17 'Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You"

This is the story of Kristal Dahlager.  I was mistaken in sharing with many friends that she was a third year medical student.  She is a third year law student.

"God's Unmistaken Creation"
http://www.frcblog.com/2012/01/life-after-prenatal-diagnosis/   If the story doesn't start with Kristal's story, it's at the 340:2 mark with Dr. Nadal's introduction.  It looks like if you click on this link it starts at 342 (I recommend backing it up to the introduction by Dr. Nadal).  Kristal's testimony is about 10 minutes.

Jeremiah 32:26-27 "Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,  “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

I looked up the doctor's quote that Miss Dahlager shared in her talk and it was a doctor of neurology in the 1940's.  His name was Robert Foster Kennedy.  He believed in death for severely retarded children over the age of 5, believed in sterilization and castration.
"But I am in favor of euthanasia for those hopeless ones who should never have been born – Nature’s mistakes....
So the place for euthanasia, I believe, is for the completely hopeless defective: nature’s mistake; something we hustle out of sight, which should never have been seen at all. These should be relieved the burden of living, because for them the burden of living at no time can produce any good thing at all. . . . For us to allow them to continue such a living is sheer sentimentality, and cruel too; we deny them as much solace as we give our stricken horse. Here we may most kindly kill, and have no fear of error.
...to release the soul from its misshapen body which only defeats in this world the soul’s powers and gifts is surely to exchange, on that soul’s behalf, bondage for freedom."
  1. Kennedy, F. The problem of social control of the congenital defective: education, sterilization, euthanasia. Am J Psychiatry 1942;99:13-16.
While perusing for the quote, I came across this quote as well,

"It must be made clear to anyone suffering from an incurable disease that the useless dissipation of costly medications drawn from the public store cannot be justified. Parents who have seen the difficult life of a crippled or feeble-minded child must be convinced that, though they may have a moral obligation to care for the unfortunate creature, the broader public should not be obligated...to assume the enormous costs that long-term institutionalization might entail."

Pamphlet published by Dr. Heilig, representative of the Nazi Physicians' League. From: Robert N. Proctor, Racial Hygeine: Medicine Under the Nazis, Harvard University Press, Cambridge, 1989, p. 183

Interesting that we are expected to pay for every female of child-bearing age their contraceptives and abortions, but anyone who is in need of real help (of which these souls have no control) for various physical and mental challenges should  be cast aside (and I get called a "heartless conservative").  And when you read all the stories that are out there of babies with Down Syndrome being aborted or the pressure parents face to abort their babies, you can see we never left the twisted mindset of the eugenics driving the Holocaust.  And it IS important to note that Foster Kennedy was an American and Germany did look to the United States for its eugenic program ideas.  Just look up the case Buck vs. Bell.

It would be very easy to share all of the quotes by the eugenicists (both past and present), but that will be for another time.  The point of this blog is hope.  The point is that Mr. and Mrs. Dahlager chose to trust in Him.  They chose life and joy.  They were blessed because they leaned on His ways and timing.  They knew God was good.

Ephesians 10:2  "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

You are His workmanship, Kristal Dahlager is His workmanship and all of those babies (over 3,500 a day) are His workmanship.  As my friend Anna often says of which I wholeheartedly agree, "God doesn't make mistakes".   You are not a mistake.  Those babies aren't mistakes.  God opens the womb and He closes the womb and He is not surprised by any child's conception   ("HOW did THAT one get through?").

I hope you enjoyed  Kristal's testimony.  It deeply touched me and spurred me to a greater passion for those parents and those babies with poor prenatal diagnoses.  NONE of the physician's diagnoses came true about Baby Kristal.  None.  They didn't even want to be her medical advocate after she was born.   Kristal's story isn't the only one because I have heard countless others.  I will share them here frequently.   I am certain there would be enough for a book.

I'll close with:
Psalm 27:13-14
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord  in the land of the living.  Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage,  and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!"

And Liberty for ALL

From the article:

President Barack Obama says the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade is the chance to recognize the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion and to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”
The 1974 U.S. Supreme Court nationalized abortion law, prohibiting states from deciding on the matter. In his written statement, Obama acknowledged that abortion has been a divisive political issue.
Obama, while serving in the Illinois State Legislature and as president of the United States, has taken a hard line on abortion rights.
In his statement on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling, Obama said it reflects the broader principles of America.
“As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters,” Obama said. “I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right.
“While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue -- no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption,” Obama said.
“And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”

SHUDDER!   Please wake me up from this nightmare.

Yesterday, we observed Sanctity of Life Sunday at our church.   It is important for many to understand why we do this.  I think anyone who was old enough to remember the day our nation was dealt a horrific attack in New York City on September 11, 2001 would say with clarity, "I will never forget that day."   They might go on to describe where they were and what they were doing when all the events took place.  One might even relive the emotions felt that day as those memories are recalled.

We won't forget that over 3,000 people died from that terrible event.  Every year we see the memorials take place in New York City, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  We hear the bells rung for each life extinguished on that day.   We won't diminish each and every one of those creations of God's.  There was even an unborn baby lost.  Wait a minute....there was an unborn baby who died as a result of that terrorist attack?   We recognize that baby was worth mentioning.....because that life was precious even though that baby never got to experience life outside of the womb.

[Little sidenote here:  it is quite frustrating to know that the press and court system will sometimes recognize unborn lives but at other times will completely ignore unborn lives like in the Fort Hood terrorist attack.  The death toll number is usually reported as 13 when it is actually 14.  One of the soldiers was pregnant and on her way home to Chicago.  In fact, a witness said that she was screaming, "My baby! My baby!" when the attack took place.  The heartbeat of her baby ended that day the minute his or her mother died at the hands of Major Nidal Malik Hasan.  Nidal Hasan, at this point in time, has not been charged with the murder of  Pvt. Francheska Velez's unborn baby.]

Yet, we forget that on September 11, 2001, across the nation, even more unborn babies were lost that day in a very violent way than died in the attacks on the east coast.  No bells are rung for these little victims and we lose over 3,000 babies every day in the United States of America.  No, I don't forget the babies who are killed globally either.

Many of us were small children or maybe not even born when Roe vs. Wade was handed down in 1973.   Many of us cannot have the same feelings of horror, anger and grief that untold numbers of people felt on January 22, 1973.  We weren't either there or very aware of the impact of that day.   Just like the children who were very young or born after the World Trade Center attacks.  They'll hear about it and be saddened when they understand but it won't have the same impact as having experienced it firsthand.   Those on the frontlines and were there have a different experience altogether.

Yet, it doesn't have to be that way.  The older I get, the understanding grows and the feelings grow stronger.  A great while back, someone put a video called "Choosing Life" in my husband's work mailbox.  It was distributed by the American Center for Law and Justice (http://www.aclj.org/).   I watched that video and it "knocked my socks off".   It was a historical documentary showing the early years of the pro-life movement.   I encourage everyone to order a copy (it's free) for viewing. DO IT TODAY!  ;)

If you go to this link, you can see a clip of it  http://aclj.org/pro-life/choosing-life-719    Just watching the two minute clip evoked strong emotions.  I was a young parent in the 1990's when much of this activism was going on and I had pretty much no idea this was taking place.  In fact, in those early years, my views were still "pro-choice".  Gratefulness is a lightweight word to describe what I feel for those pro-life warriors.  I would have to watch this film again to remember everything but I give warning, especially to young people watching it.   Even though parts of it (if I remember right) are pixelated, some of the pro-abortion people took pride in their nudity as a protest tool.

Yesterday, our church had a table set up with pro-life materials AND two sets of baby models.  The first set showed babies at the gestational stages of 7 weeks through 12 weeks.  The second set showed babies at gestational stages of 12 weeks through 30 weeks.

The babies were received well!   Children and adults alike were fascinated by them.  There were a lot of good questions and discussion points.  The babies also went on a "field trip" to Sunday school classes for the older youths.  The subject of personhood was presented as there are now Personhood groups working  in all 50 states now.  I heard a lot of people share of their family members or friends who were preemies as babies.  They would point to one of the babies and say, "He (or she) was around this age and size when born".   Many wanted to hold the babies in their palms or arms.

Many know the Roe vs. Wade title of the court decision.  Many of us don't want to manuever through all the legalese to understand all of its impact.  All we know is that it's about abortion and sometimes the term "a woman's right to choose" is mentioned  (although I never heard anyone refer to it in support by that phrase yesterday).   The opponents want us to be ignorant because it's easier to strip the freedoms of an ignorant people.  Their strategy is to sell the rope to the people that will eventually hang them.

I think it's time we give equal weight to Doe vs. Bolton too.   Whenever Roe gets mentioned, we really need to mention with as much time and emphasis to Doe.   Doe vs. Bolton was decided on the same exact day as Roe (with as much legislation from the bench as Roe.  Maybe even moreso since "Doe"-Sandra Cano never was seeking an abortion in the first place).   It allowed for abortion in all 9 months for any reason.  It was said that emotional and mental health was added as a reason for a woman to obtain an abortion.  This was a major loophole for unlimited, abortion-on-demand.

That's why I love that "Choosing Life" video.  It shows a group of ardent lovers of life saying, "WE are NOT going to take this lying down!"   Over 39 years now, we have had so many people fight back and some of that has shown up as limits.  They have fought tooth and nail to this day to staunch the flow of evil.    There's a big debate on how different groups go about stopping or limiting abortion.  Here's the standard that we are reaching for....ZERO abortions.  NO children killed.  Are we going to reach that?   I would say yes, we will....when we have the New Jerusalem.  Can we obtain that before then?   We live in a fallen, dark world.  It's not defeatism to say that, it's just we know the evil that is out there.  Of course, nothing is impossible without God! :)

Here's the standard once again.   ZERO abortions is the goal.  We don't want to reduce or limit or make it rare.  We want it abolished.   All nine months of protection is what our babies deserve.  We can't pray, ask or fight for anything less.   Our judicial branch, our legislative branch or executive branch, our medical systems and our education system is majorly wracked by sinful influences.   Satan does not want the family to thrive.  He wants them as his own.  He uses people who choose to be used to implement his plans.

We see a president who glorifies the decision to abort babies.  We see a president who voted (when he was senator) four times against giving care to babies who survived abortion.  We see senators and congressmen who vote against measures to protect babies and women.  We see court judges and lawyers who ignore the existence of babies and the plight of women (as in judges and lawyers who are partial to Planned Parenthood).  We see doctors and nurses either in the abortion mills.  We see doctors who are fearful of litigation so they suggest aborting babies with correctable maladies.  Over 90% of babies with  Down syndrome are aborted.   We see schools encouraging sexual promiscuity.  We hear about nurses driving girls to abortion clinics during school hours unbeknownst to their parents.

In many states, the limit is 24 weeks.  In other states, it may be less but abortionists are treated pretty much above the law.  I am glad to see Gosnell, Brigham and Riley facing murder charges but that is a rarity.  Time will tell to see whether they will be permanently put out of business thanks to a lengthy prison sentence.  We will all be watching these cases closely (of course, not on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC or PBS...maybe not even Fox News).  We DO know that babies are killed everyday that are past the 24 week limit.  Again, though our standard is protection for all 9 months.

It's a touchy subject to say we aren't thankful for limits.  I want all children saved.  A baby that is spared abortion because a law was enforced is a good thing.  Let me add that many pro-life laws in this land protect some but not the babies conceived of rape or incest.  You'll hear the "exception law" and many legislators will vote for a pro-life law that has the phrase, "except for rape, incest or life of the mother (or even "health" of the mother).   So while I am thankful for the well-meaning pro-life legislator who votes for the well-meaning pro-life legislation, I still cannot be content with law that says "except for rape, incest and life of the mother"  ( life of the mother is another subject for another day).   This is not the standard of equal protection for ALL in ALL 9 months.  There are NO exceptions.

I will say that many gains have been reached in the past year or two as far as opening the eyes of the public.  Defunding Planned Parenthood has been something that many pro-lifers thought they would never see.  It's great to see a Planned Parenthood close its doors for lack of money.  We are excited when we hear former Planned Parenthood abortionists or employees have a change of heart and leave the abortion business.  It's good to see a wave of pro-life movies and documentaries.  I love it when youths come up to me and say, "How can I help? I want to get involved!"  Young people are way more pro-life than their parents and/or grandparents.   I really do have hope and am not a negative Nellie!  There's just no resting on our laurels.  As Dave Ramsay likes to say when he's bartering for a better deal, "That's just not good enough".

I may get comments about incrementalism.  It's sad that pro-lifers have to crawl painful millimeter-by-painful-millimeter what must feel like across broken glass to have any limits on abortion.  We could say, "it's not fair" but as my husband counters to that phrase "A fair is where you get your pies judged".
Yes, it's not fair that it seems the pro-aborts' side is winning, has more money, gets to write the history books, gets the royalty treatment from the press and Hollywood glorifies their gruesome practice.  In reality though, they have already lost and they are scared, they are desperate.  They know deep down they have lost and I am going to keep on going so I can say "neener, neener, neener!" (Okay, okay, I am really not going to do that).

Incrementalism or not, the war's already won.  Jesus conquered the grave.  We know that the Enemy is just doing everything he can to do as much damage before his gig is up.  We just need to keep sharing the Gospel, do good and flee from evil.  James 4:17  Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

One final point to add also.  My husband taught the youth last night about God's heart on abortion.  He read many Scriptures to them (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16 among many of them).

This is definitely worth noting:  Exodus 20:1-5

1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘Whoever of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. 4 And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, 5 then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech.

We can't hide our eyes anymore!!!

Exodus 1:17
17 But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them,

So here are some marching orders:
Fear and please God, not men.
Keep your eyes on Jesus
Seek wisdom
